FIA International Formula 3000 Championship
Tomas Enge has lost his Formula 3000 title after being stripped
of the win he took in Hungary earlier this season. He has also received
a suspended 12-month ban from competition.
Following the meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in Paris
on 2nd October, it was decided that Enge should lose the 10 points
gained for winning the race at the Hungaroring, where he failed
a drug test taken during the meeting.
Enge's exclusion from the result previously declared in Hungary
means that Giorgio Pantano takes second position in this year's
FIA International Formula 3000 championship.
