Zip Formula Championship - Round 1

Mike Spencer rounded off a sensational weekend for Team Brask at the weekend as the Zip Formula Championship started at Snetterton in Norfolk. Mike, who was among the pace setters when the formula had its first races at Brands Hatch last November, was again bang on the pace from the word go.

The Free Practice session saw Mike second quickest to Edward Redfern, a driver with considerable single seater experience. These two repeated their performance in the official qualifying session with another experience runner, ex National Formula Ford racer, Sacha Hamm in third from Chris Smits.

In the race Redfern retired on the fifth lap with Mike taking the flag by over six seconds from fellow Winter Series star Josh Fisher. Mike also recorded the fastest lap of the race and therefore takes away the inaugural Zip Formula lap record and Championship lead from Snetterton.

Result: 1st Mike Spencer, 2nd Josh Fisher, 3rdSacha Hamm, 4th Dominik Jackson, 5th Chris Smits, 6th Jamie Morrow, 7th Ryan Lewis, 8th Ben Lewis. Fastest lap: Mike Spencer (Establishes Record).

Danish TV Date for Lars-Christian Brask

A programme featuring a portrait of Lars-Christian Brask will be shown on Danish television on Wednesday 2nd May. The main Danish television channel, TV2, will broadcast the show at 20.00.
