Alex Müller signs for Brask Management
European Formula 3000 front runner Alex Müller has signed for Brask Management. Alex is contesting the championship with the team run by former Osella Grand Prix driver Piercarlo Ghinzani and currently lies fourth in the championship after three rounds. Alex scored a superb second place in last weekend's round at Monza.

Giorgio posted the 10th fastest time in the first qualifying session on Friday - a good performance as it was again his first visit to the circuit. Tyres proved to be at their best in the early laps which favoured those with more experience of the track. The second session saw Giorgio sixth quickest although most drivers were unable to improve on their times from the opening session. The one driver who did improve was Brazilian Antonio Pizzonia who qualified ninth demoting Giorgio to 11th.

Team Brask managing director Alf Boarer commented that Giorgio also did a good job in the race. A sensational start saw him rocket the Astromega car up into sixth place but he was forced to back off - the only alternative to almost certain demise. He raced hard and moved up to ninth place behind Davis Saelens. Giorgio passed the Frenchman and set about Mario Haberfeld but the Brazilian withstood almost constant pressure to take 7th with Giorgio 8th at the flag.

Formula Renault - Donington Park
Allan Simonsen showed that improvements have been made to the car in recent testing as he put in the 12th fastest time. Further improvement will be most welcome for the young Dane this weekend.

V-Sports Racing - Rockingham
The V-Sports cars get their first taste of the fantastic new race facility at Rockingam near Corby. Miku Santavirta was easily the fastest driver in qualifying in the last outing at Snetterton and he'll be hoping to carry that performance over into the races this weekend.
