Formula Renault Championship - Thruxton
Allan Simonsen was not entirely unhappy with his second race of
the season as the championship moved to the UK's fastest circuit,
Thruxton in Hampshire. Qualifying proved problematic as Allan struggled
again with engine problems resulting in 19th place on the grid.
He went much better in the race working his way into 11th position
despite being unable to select sixth gear.
T-Cars Championship - Silverstone
Ryan Lewis took a brace of second places at Silverstone and has
opened up a small lead in the championship table over Ben Reeves.
Ryan qualified in fourth for the first race and on pole for the
second.
V-Sports Racing - Brands Hatch
Miku Santavirta was again the man setting the pace as the V-Sports
had their first outing on the Brands Grand Prix Circuit. Miku was
by far the quickest driver in qualifying and took a well earned
race win on Saturday. Christian Dick retired from Saturday's race
but came through the field to take fourth on Sunday also claiming
the fastest lap whilst Miku retired.
European Formula A Karting Championships - Oschersleben
Michael Spencer was in action in the opening round in Germany.
The five heats provided some frustration for the team. After an
encouraging qualifying session which saw Michael and impressive
fifth fastest, the opening heat yeilded 12th position. Michael switched
chassis after the opener but the team were unable to change some
of the key parts and he struggled in all but the final heat in which
he stormed to fourth place setting a fastest lap along the way.
