Team Brask on track at Sturup

26 April 2001

Team Brask now has its very own race circuit. We have, via the Danish arm of Team Brask, bought Sturup Raceway in Southern Sweden. Sturup could not be in a better location for the team - only 35 minutes from Central Copenhagen - the Danish capital - and adjacent to Sturup Airport which is served by direct flights from London. The six biggest Southern Swedish cities are all within a maximum of one hours drive from the circuit.

"This purchase is an investment, but it is also an important part of Team Brask's continued development," says Lars-Christian Brask. "To look after our marketing partners' needs we want to provide 'Extreme Days' as part of the package. The monopolistic situation for track hire/time has forced us to make this move and invest in a circuit of our own."

There will be extensive development to the venue over the next few years including the building of a modern hotel and an extension to the circuit which will take the overall length to 2.1km. Planning regulations at the facility are ideal - the track can be used 365 days a year and there are no noise restrictions. Team Brask's test, development and corporate days will be centred at Sturup Raceway from this Summer.
