Brask Management Danish driver Allan Simonsen is to race in the
2001 Formula Renault Championship. Allan will race in a joint venture
under the entry of PBR-Team Brask.
Allan, 22, joined Team Brask in 2000 following a very successful
year in Formula Ford where he won the Danish Championship. He was
also part of the 1999 Formula Ford Zetec World Cup winning Danish
Team. Prior to this Allan was the Danish and Nordic Karting Champion.
His first season in a 'slicks and wings' class, European Formula
Palmer Audi, saw him secure some very impressive results which he
capped with a win in the final race of the season at the home of
the French Grand Prix, Magny Cours. He also took pole position at
Brands Hatch and finished a strong 11th in the Championship
Allan is looking to be a Championship contender in Formula Renault..
