Team boss Lars-Christian Brask and Palmer Audi ace Jesper
Carlsen went home to Denmark last Sunday to participate in an indoor
karting 'Mini Le Mans' over 2 hours and 40 minutes... and won.
The team also included managing directors of Coca Cola and Maersk,
the mayor of Esbjerg where the indoor center is based along with
L-C and Jesper. There were eight teams with a racing driver as captain
on each team. The other participants were representatives from various
well known Danish companies. Jesper reports that the best thing
was that Team Brask driver advisor and Sports Cars ace John Nielsen
was the captain of one team and they beat him in the game he is
best at... Le Mans! OK, this was a mini Le Mans... but it counts
for Jesper and L-C as you can imagine all the drivers are flat out
all the way.
The trophy was huge and all the winning team members names are being
engraved on it for posterity. "A perfect strategy helped us
to win," says Jesper. "I think that with a strategy like
that, we would do very well at the real Le Mans. L-C and I would
like to thank Frank B. Troelsen from Coca Cola, Johnny Søtrup and
Søren Fløe Knudsen for the great victory and a good day out."
